Determination of Technical-economic Index for Wooden Structures with Help of Generated Data Base
Vrbka, Marek ; Tajbr, Aleš (referee) ; Krejza, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes wood structures and their structural systems along with their advantages and disadvantages. In the thesis calculation of technical-economic index (TEI) was performed for certain type of modern wood frame structure. From data analysis the author proposed two-stage application for determining the value of TEI of wood frame structures. In the first stage the author proposed methodology TEI; IC (technical-economic index, internal classifications), which is based on the principles used in the context of budgetary indicators. In the second stage the author proposed methodology TEI; CF (technical-economic index, complex formula). This methodology is based on calculation of TEI, where the default values are modified by coefficients reflecting influences affecting the value of TEI. The first stage is designed for implementation in the budgeting database software. The second stage is intended for implementation in software such as Microsoft Excel.
Multi-purpose Building, Jana Babaka, Brno
Kolářová, Eva ; Jelínek, Petr (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Project's goal is to test the large buildings' design options in regards to permanently sustainable construction. The author's aim is to design energy efficient multipurpose building, with minimal negative effects on environment. The positive impact on environment is visible on the preference of natural materials used in construction. External constructions of thermal conductivity coefficient at the level of passive standard are designed using objects of renewable energy. The location in Brno has been chosen for the proposed building, specifically the location known as brownfields. Lot is accessible from the street of Jan Babak, where public transport is available. The shape of the lot is in the form of incomplete oval with internal open atrium. The administrative part of the building takes half of the area with the rest of the area being used for other businesses, such as fitness centre and restaurant. Garages are proposed to be located underneath the main building, which is built on rigid structure. This rigid structure is a steel skeleton one with linked ceilings. The foundation of building is on stilt. The roof is of a flat type with variable slope, its structure and slope are of metal construction. Claddings are designed in the form of wooden structure filled with straw bales, the exterior is thermally insulated using fibreboard thermal insulation. Inner tract facade is proposed to be panelled with wooden planks. Photovoltaic panels will be placed both from the south and southeast of the outer oval. The rest of the facade will be panelled with grate for creepers. Only environment-friendly sources of energy are considered for the proposed building. Heating and cooling is based on the heat pump air-water system; using the rainwater as an example of renewing natural energy. The surroundings of the building are designed as meadows for of infiltration of rainwater. The proposed building has been assessed in terms of environmental sustainabilit

This bachelor thesis “Family Residence with Two Flats“ is composed in a form of implementing project documentation and it contains all requisites according to the valid regulations. It is a complex of two connected buildings. The first part is the base for athletes and spectators. The second part consists of a sports hall with the playing surface and bleachers for spectators. The first part of the building has 3 floors. The sports hall is roofed using trusses made of laminated wood. Part of this work is the study of dispositions specialization focused on technical equipment of buildings and wooden structures and seminar papers presented in the form of drawings details.
Návrh bungalovu z celostěnových panelů
Šoukalová, Simona
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the design of a modern, functional single-storey house for a family of four. The house is designed from full-wall panels by DMK system. The textual part is focused on the description of the proposed house including the composition of structures, materials and description of the processing of the drawing part. The work also deals with the solution of sewage and rainwater use. The work is supplemented by drawings.
Traditional working and quality of timber during repairs of timber structures
Kloiber, Michal ; Růžička, Petr
Extensive field experience with repairing timber structures shows two main limiting factors for the quality of work that are often circumvented or simplified. First, it is the quality of the timber for the repairs (replacements, additions) and the resulting problem when the recommended criteria for the selection of suitable material are not met, with regard to the long-term coexistence of the new timber with the original material. Second, a critical factor is the way in which the timber is worked - the preferred traditional working is for various reasons replaced by counterfeits. Due to the limited scope of this paper, we can only pay attention to the most blatant case, which is working of logs by hewing.

Diagnostic of timber structures
Kloiber, Michal
Diagnostic of timber structures is a special field of engineering, that is focused on timber assessment, evaluation of defects and assessing the safety and reliability of existing wood structures. Special task is the diagnostic of timber structures in historical objects. In such cases, usually, we can not use the standard methods for determining the mechanical properties of wood, it is necessary to meet the requirement of minimum intervention into the object structure. The aim of the presentation is to inform the professional audience about the possibilities of application of diagnostic methods, which provide the required information with a high consideration for preservation of the original material and the object design concept. Quality diagnostic uses very sophisticated methods and can be costly, however, often provide accurate data even in low invasiveness, which is valued at the historical object diagnostic. Overall cost of the technical and diagnostical survey of structure can be reduced by cost savings on demolition and repair works.
Diagnostic methods for evaluation of construction timber
Heřmánková, V. ; Kloiber, Michal ; Tippner, J. ; Anton, O.
In the present time, there is an effort in the Czech Republic to increase the share of realization of wooden structures. For this reason the necessity to pay higher attention to wood as building material, to learn how to inspect its quality before starting the building as well as of the already bulit-in wood is evident. The paper performs diagnostic methods for evaluation of construction timber being used at the workplaces of the authors. The methods are sorted according to the kind of invasiveness onto non-destructive, semi-destructive and destructive.
